We had an early Father’s Day dinner with my family on Saturday. Rather than going out, we ordered a steak dinner from a local steakhouse.
Here’s some of what we had!
This 28 oz steak was shared between four adults and a 6 1/2 year old.
You could get a glimpse of the caesar salad (not that great). The creamed spinach was pretty good but the corn pudding? Kind of gross, to be honest (but my son and husband liked it). And roasted brussel sprouts were not that great. Too burnt!!
You can get a better picture of the brussel sprouts here. The mac and cheese was kind of plain. On the left was some baked tempeh (which I made myself…okay, I didn’t actually MAKE the tempeh from scratch. I bought that and baked it). Steak and I don’t get along very well, so I only had a little. Most of my protein came from the tempeh.
Yes, two slices of cake, four adults and a child. Can you tell we’re not that into sweets?
